“Badger…” April says, face flushing as she looks around at the glass tank and the massive shark like creatures eyeing the sudden new arrivals with a mix of curiosity and something which very much did not appear to be simple hunger. “When you asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I asked if there was anything we could do to help the endangered shark-man population… I meant I wanted to maybe volunteer or donate money!”
“Well, you should have been more clear!” Badger huffs as she folds her arms across her large, scaly chest. “I thought you LOVED sharks!”
“I DO love sharks, just not like THIS!” April snaps back, gesturing at her own bare body and long, thick tail. “We aren’t even actual sharks, we are… Weird naked, sexy shark ladies!”
“Hah!” Badger beams as a couple of the larger shark men move in close to investigate the pair. “Sexy! You said it yourself! This is TOTALLY how you like sharks!”
April opens her mouth to say something, but is interrupted as one of the large men bumped her, pushing her into one of the glass sides of the large aquarium tank. Her face goes bright red as she looks through the glass and see’s a flurry of flashing lights as a crowd of faces stare in wide eyed wonder. “Badger… Why isn’t anyone trying to save us?”
Badger giggles as the other big man nuzzles her chest. “Oh that? Ya, part of the spell makes everyone, shark-men and humans, just sort of treat us like any normal shark-person!” She giggles again as the male slides her down its broad belly. “That will keep this next part from looking super weird!”
“Next part?” April asks before feeling something slide up between her legs and her face goes bright red. “Oh no! Oh no no no! Badger cast the reversal spell now!”
“No can do!” Badger moans as she makes her own ‘connection’. “Needs time to recharge… Just try and enjoy the ride and I’ll get us out of here... Later.”
“Oh to hell with this!” April growls and turns to try and crawl away up the glass, but all that accomplishes is getting her body shoved hard against the transparent barrier, giving a room full of lucky aquarium goers a hell of a view of her first mating…
All she could hope for was that Badger would have the reversal spell ready within the hour and that she would not have to spend the rest of the day swimming naked in this ridiculous, watery zoo exhibit...
A Couple Months Later
April sighs as she leans against the glass wall of their tank, feeling bloated and ungainly as she keeps herself steady in the water. In all the time they had been trapped in the aquarium, she had still never quite gotten the hang of her new situation, a problem exacerbated by her rapid weight gain which had thrown an additional set of new challenges at the unwilling shark woman. Because of this, she and Badger had developed something of a routine as she approached her friend with the same question she had asked every day since their sudden arrival.
“Hey buddy…” April asks, huffing slightly as the other shark girl looks up at her with a broad smile on her face. “Can you cast the reversal spell now?”
“Nope, sorry!” Badger replies, patting her own large belly. “I can try if you like, but it will be the same as before.”
“No harm in it, right?” April sighs as she feels a cramp in her gut. “Oof… I got to stop eating so much, it’s starting to mess me up. Are you getting these cramps as well?” She asks, grimacing slightly. “I think there might be something in the fish they are feeding us.”
“Ya, but I don’t think it’s something in the fish…” Badger giggles as she pats her belly. “Well… Not those fish anyway…”
“What are you talking about?” April asks, frowning as she looks from Badger, to her gut, then back to her face. “It’s been over sixty days and you STILL can’t cast the reversal spell! AND you keep making weird offhand comments like that! What’s gotten into you recently man?”
Badger’s giggle turns into a full blown laugh as she begins to rock back and forth on her rock. “What’s gotten into me? Oh that’s good! More like what’s gotten into US though, right?”
“What are you talking about?” April demands as she stares in utter confusion at her pal. “I swear to god, you have been getting weirder by the day…”
“And you are so silly!” Badger snickers. “Why do you THINK the reversal spell hasn’t been working?”
“Because your power hasn’t recharged?” April asks, growing annoyed. “Like you said back when we ended up in this mess in the first place?”
“Oh that came back weeks ago!” Badger rolls her eyes as she continues to giggle between words. “The problem is the spell was tailored to us, as we were when we entered this tank… I just didn’t take into account how our bodies would change after becoming pregnant!”
“Pregnant!?” April asks, face turning bright red as she glances down to her belly and back to Badger. “Wait, I thought we were just full of fish!”
“We are!” Badger laughs. “Wait, sharks are fish right?”
“That’s not funny dude!” April blushes harder as she rubs her extended stomach. “And if that’s what the holdup has been about, why haven't you been looking for a way around that this whole time?”
“Hey do you see any magic books in here with us?” Badger sticks out her tongue. “All that stuff is back home and since I don’t think the zoo keepers are going to let a couple of humanoid sharks go free so they can catch up on some light reading…”
“So we are trapped!?” April gasps. “You can’t do anything to turn us back while we are pregnant and so until we give birth…”
“Nothing to do, but hang out in the pool!” She winks. “How long are sharks pregnant for anyway?”
“Ten to eleven months…” April groans. “And it’s only been a fifth of that so far!”
“Wow really?” Badger whistles, showing no real signs of alarm. “Well that sucks, because I’m already forgetting some of the words.” She chuckles. “No way I’m gonna remember all of that crap in another year!” She shrugs. “Oh well, guess we are just going to stay like this forever. What can you do?”
“What can you do!?” April gasps. “What are you talking about! Badger this is serious!”
“Whatever,” Badger shrugs again. “I like it here! It’s nice, there's lots of fish and the guys are SUPER handsome!”
“Badger, I think your brains are getting all… Scrambled up by the magic!” April says, ringing her hands as she looks at her friend's calm expression. “Maybe you should teach me the reversal spell so even if you forget it, I can remind you after we have our pups?”
Badger’s smile grows as she shakes her head. “And what good would that do? You think my mind is going, but you have gotten so dumb you thought you were just getting fat on fish while OBVIOUSLY pregnant! I love you, but you can be a real dummy sometimes.”
April’s mouth drops open slightly, but she could not think of a thing to say. Seeing this Badger slowly pushes herself off her seat and swims over to her friend. “Tell you what? Why don’t we get some yummy fish and then you and your hubby can have some fun! You’d like that, wouldn’t you?”
April’s eyes go wide, but before she can say anything to object a small flash crosses Badger’s own eyes and April suddenly relaxs, smiling faintly as she nods. “That sounds nice, ya… Let's do that.”
“You worry too much.” Badger winks and wraps an arm around April’s waist as the two swim off in the direction of the feeding area. “You just let me worry about everything and you can just chill for now.” She pats her friends plump rump and smiles as she giggles. “See? You're happy already!”
“Thanks buddy.” April coos as she nuzzles her head against Badger’s shoulder. “Thank you for taking care of me.”
“Of course!” Badger grins and nuzzles April back. “Even if your brain turns to mush, I’m always going to be looking out for my cute little thicc dummy! Weather your worried all the time or dumb and happy, I’m always going to love you!”
“Aw, I love you too!” April giggles as the two reach the feeding area and enter the next phase of their lives…
At least until the same cycle repeats again the next day.
Though with each day that passed, Badger would get a little more relaxed and a little more horny and each new day April would stay just a little dumber and a little less worried…
But even without knowing what further changes the future would bring, one thing was for certain. For April and Badger, their old human lives had come to…
